Antiques on Center Street

Center Street..is a magical place. Most especially because of the little shops that seem to go completely under the radar. Like this antique shop. Yes there is a fair share of creepy faces and unidentified objects but that all comes with the authenticity of a shop full of old things. Glen, the owner has been in the antique business for 25 years, selling at this particular location for 10 years. He specializes in antique dolls (and yes he probably EVEN likes the creepy ones) and not a thing gets put in this store unless it is  OLD. Hardly anything in here is newer than the 40's or 50's.

Check out this Vintage BYU cardigan. I may be regretting by decision to not buy it, so don't go get it it's all mine

I didn't take pictures but I admit it. I took a nice long glance at the antique engagement rings. Don't judge. But if you happen to be my future husband, take a look at Antiques on Center Street. ;)

Hello Juno

I'm not quite sure what reflection this has on the city of Provo as a whole. BUT whilst on one of our long boarding/Provo-discovering adventures, we found Juno! This gorgeous dog was just chained up to a tree while dad was workin in the garage and that nice man let us play with Juno all we wanted.

Got your own Provo story?

Local Business At It's Finest

This place. A nice little shoe repair shop owned by good old Joe, with his register from the 20's that he still uses and his old-fashioned leather shoe laces. I haven't been able to go in for quite a while but there is something about the personality of this place that just makes me happy. Joe's story and more pics coming soon

The Provo Bakery! Quaint, homey, friendly, and just plain good.

I think... they make every batch from scratch

Rooftop Concert Series

Unfortunately this spectacular event isn't a year round gig, but it sure is one reason to stick around over summer. The Rooftop Concert series features the best of the up and coming bands of the Provo music scene and just plain has the right kind of summer-night-music-festival atmosphere.

Some of the bands featured in the 2012 summer line-up were Fictionist (recently close competitors for cover of the Rolling Stone), The Moth and the Flame (Look for the upside-down "and" symbol!), New Electric Sound (it's new..it's electric..and its plain good sound), The Lower Lights (fabulous folk-inspired hymn revivals; your enlightened ears will tell your guilty hands to put the EFY Cd's down), and The Folka Dots (The quaint and rugged tunes of folk heaven; Old-timey but yet so new and refreshing).

Hey if that quick music review and pictures from the site weren't enticing enough, get this: these shows are free! All thanks to the sponsors, Zion's Bank, and Flyprovo.com. So check it out summer 2013! http://www.rooftopconcertseries.com/
